Relating to boarding and day stay pets
By making a booking and leaving your pet with us, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions: 1. All animals must be vaccinated for the appropriate diseases. Dogs full cover must include DHPPI (three yearly) and canine cough (annually). Cats require full feline cover annually. Proof of vaccination status must be presented or we cannot board your pet. Any booster shots required must be done at least 10 days prior to check in day or we cannot accept them for boarding to protect the health of all. 2. We cannot accommodate entire male pets over the age of 12 months (this applies to new clients after 5 January 2022). 3. We cannot accommodate female dogs either in season or expected to come into season. If your dog comes into season whilst staying, you will be contacted to make arrangements to immediately pick her up. 4. If your female dog is entire, you must notify us when booking of an emergency contact who can pick her up immediately if you cannot yourself. If you cannot provide an emergency contact, we cannot accept your entire female for boarding. 5. The first day of boarding is charged at the full day rate regardless of check in time. Pets collected before 11am on check out day are not charged for the departure day (except if pets only stay one night, when a two day minimum charge applies). If collection is after 11am, a full day is charged. 6. All days booked during school holidays or public holidays (including public holiday weekends) will be charged, regardless of late drop off, early pick up, or cancellations. Deposits may also be required prior to confirming bookings. 7. Our opening hours are 8-11am Monday to Saturday, and 3-6pm Monday to Sunday. We are closed to the public on Sunday mornings, and on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 8. You or your nominated person agrees to only drop off and collect your pet during our opening times, unless by prior arrangement. Attendance outside our opening hours will incur a $30 fee. We reserve the right to receive or decline customers outside our opening hours. 9. Accepted methods of payment are eftpos, MasterCard, VISA, cash or internet banking (where payment must be made within 7 days). 10. Abbeyblyth Animal Boarding agrees to exercise due and reasonable care at all times and to keep our premises sanitary and properly enclosed. Your pet will be fed twice a day, have access to fresh water at all times and be housed in safe, secure, clean quarters. Dogs will be exercised outside as much as possible, weather dependent. 11. There will be a caretaker on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 12. We will take every reasonable care of all animals but will not accept responsibility for any illness contracted, pregnancy, accident, injury or death occurring while in our care. All animals are left at the owner’s risk. 13. If veterinary attention is required for any accident or illness while in our care, owners are liable for all expenses including a fee to transport them to the vet. In the event of serious illness and you or your agent cannot be contacted, the vet’s decision will be final. 14. We will do our best to ensure your pet is seen by your nominated vet, as long as it is within 25km of our premises and within their normal opening hours, otherwise we will use Victory Vets, Halifax Veterinary Centre or Stoke Veterinary Hospital. 15. Any pet that harms a human or another animal will be isolated and you will be contacted to pick them up immediately. You will be responsible for any and all medical and vet charges that result from any such incident. 16. If your pet has external or internal parasites, treatment will be given and the cost added to the invoice. 17. Animals remaining at Abbeyblyth Animal Boarding after 7 days of the nominated collection date without prior approval from us will be removed at our discretion. All monies owing including costs incurred to collect fees, are payable by you the owner or your agent within 7 days of receiving our invoice. If these costs are not paid legal proceedings will commence without further notice. We reserve the right to add all collection costs to money outstanding. 18. We reserve the right to decline any animal at any time. You or your nominated person must collect any pet without delay if asked by us to do so. All outstanding monies must be paid in full at the time of collection. 19. We must be notified at time of booking of any dog that is classified as Menacing or Dangerous. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your booking. 20. We reserve the right to remove or refuse any excessively barking dogs. Local authorities have the right to impound any nuisance dog in our care. 21. Abbeyblyth bears no responsibility for any collars, leads, containers, bedding, food or other articles left with us. 22. That, subject to alteration by Abbeyblyth Animal Boarding, these conditions shall apply each time pets are admitted to our care.
