ABBELYBLYTH ANIMAL BOARDINGTERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Vaccinations, Health & Parasite Control All dogs must have current vaccinations: DHPPI (within 3 years) and Canine Cough (within 12 months).All cats require full feline cover annually.Proof of vaccination is required prior to admission.Booster vaccinations must be given at least 10 days before arrival.Pets must be free of illness, fleas, ticks, and worms. Treatment will be administered and charged if parasites are found.Abbeyblyth may refuse boarding to any pet showing signs of illness or contagion. 2. Entire Animals
Entire male dogs over 12 months of age are not accepted (new clients after 5 January 2022).Bitches in season or expected to come into season cannot be accommodated.If a bitch comes into season during her stay, she must be collected immediately.Owners of unspayed females must provide an emergency contact able to collect the pet immediately. 3. Behaviour, Safety & Conduct
Owners must truthfully disclose behavioural issues (aggression, anxiety, escape behaviour, etc.).Dogs classified as Menacing or Dangerous must be declared upon booking.Dogs that cause injury or pose a risk will be isolated and must be collected immediately.Owners are responsible for any resulting veterinary, medical, or damage costs.Excessive barking or nuisance behaviour may result in refusal or removal. 4. Care Provided
Abbeyblyth will provide reasonable care, secure housing, clean facilities, fresh water, and food.Dogs will receive outdoor exercise daily, weather permitting.A caretaker is on-site 24/7.Boarding may temporarily affect a pet’s appetite, energy, or behaviour. 5. Veterinary Treatment & Emergency Care
Veterinary attention will be obtained without delay if required.Owners are responsible for all veterinary and transport costs.If the owner cannot be contacted, the veterinarian’s decisions (including surgery or sedation) are final.Abbeyblyth will use the owner’s nominated vet when practical; otherwise, local veterinary clinics will be used.Owners authorise Abbeyblyth to make urgent decisions in the animal’s best interests. 6. Liability
Pets are boarded at the owner’s risk.Abbeyblyth is not liable for illness, injury, escape, stress, pregnancy, or death unless caused by proven negligence.Abbeyblyth is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items.Owners are liable for any damage caused by their pet. 7. Fees, Deposits, Payments & Cancellations
Boarding is charged per calendar day, including arrival and departure days.A Public Holiday Surcharge of $10 per animal, per public holiday day applies.Holiday Period Deposit:Bookings covering public holidays, school holidays, or peak holiday periods require a $100 non-refundable deposit.The deposit is forfeited if the owner cancels or changes dates.Rescheduling requires a new deposit.Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice incur full payment of the booking.Payment methods: EFTPOS, MasterCard, VISA, cash, or internet banking (due within 7 days). 8. Opening Hours & Access
Drop-off and collection times:8:00am – 10:00am Monday - Saturday4:00pm – 6:00pm Monday – SundayClosed on: Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.Access outside these hours requires prior arrangement and incurs a $30 fee. 9. Abandoned Animals
Pets not collected within 7 days of the scheduled collection date may be rehomed or otherwise disposed of.All outstanding fees, including collection or legal charges, must be paid within 7 days. 10. Medications & Special Requirements
Medication must be supplied in original packaging with clear instructions.Abbeyblyth is not responsible for reactions, complications, or errors arising from owner-supplied instructions.Additional charges may apply for specialised care or complex medication routines. 11. Owner Responsibilities Owners confirm that:
Their pet is fully vaccinated and parasite-free.Behavioural information supplied is accurate.They accept responsibility for any harm or damage caused by their pet.They authorise emergency treatment if required. 12. Privacy
Personal information is used for booking, safety, and communication. It may be shared with veterinarians, authorities, or debt-collection services where necessary.
13. Force Majeure
Abbeyblyth is not liable for interruptions caused by events outside its control, including weather events, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.
14. Amendments
These Terms & Conditions may be revised at any time. The version in effect at the time of each stay applies.
